   Today I could not think of what to write about so I am just going to write about my favorite podcast which I am currently listening to right now. The podcast is called Spittin' Chiclets which may be a kind of weird term for most people to be honest. It's a hockey term that basically means getting in a fight and having your teeth knocked out, therefore you are "spittin' chiclets." There are four members in the podcast with two of them being former NHL players, one being a journalist, and the other a hockey fan from Boston who works as the producer. They make quite a crew, with the two hockey players, Paul "Biznasty" Bissonette and Ryan Whitney constantly chirping each other, and the Journalist RA sometimes finding himself in the crossfire, but have the best hockey podcast going and it certainly helps that they are some of the funniest characters in podcasting. They touch on all things hockey, along with literally everything else going on in the world, and have at least one interview lined up every week, with someone that's large in the hockey community or just some kind of famous person that just wants to talk hockey. An interesting fact about the podcast is they are the ones that dropped Pink Whitney, the pink lemonade flavored vodka, which I'm sure you guys have seen in stores as it's the top-selling flavored vodka in America.

    The episode I'm listening has a lot of stuff going on in it. The new season is about to start, so they went through breaking down half of the teams along with having the senior hockey analyst for ESPN on the show to talk about what the season will look like this year. They also hop into the NFL and give a little update on that and also talk about the show Squid Game which I started watching last night and apparently is now Netflix's biggest show ever. They highly recommended the show. Well, the podcast just ended so I think that means I am going to be done with my blog. See you next time.

Indiana

      I have lived in Indiana my entire life. Well I can't  necessarily call it actually Indiana because I've been in The Region the entire time. For those of you that don't know, The Region is the little area of Indiana that is just across the border of Illinois, that is still technically a suburb of Chicago. We pay less taxes and we still get all the benefits of living by a big city. It's a nice place to live but we're still behind Illinois in a lot of things.      I am on a bus ride going to Louisville right now so we're taking a nice trip through the rest of Indiana and it is  boring to say the least. We're not even 20 minutes out of The Region and it's already all farmland. Indiana is a very boring state. Icarus

    Icarus poster picture         This week I had to watch a documentary for my English class. We were able to choose from a number of different ones, but the one I was most interested is one called Icarus, as it was highly recommended by my boss. I really enjoy documentaries, so I am happy to report this one did not disappoint and I would highly recommend watching this one to anyone. It starts out with a man named Bryan Fogel interested in seeing how much doping would help him in cycling. He starts searching through a number of doctors until he comes across one that works for the anti-doping agency in Russia named Grigory Rodchenkov. Very quickly we learn that Russia is not playing by the book and many people start coming forward claiming they have a systematic doping system in place for every major sporting event, especially the Olympics, fully equipped by the government, with Rodchenkov being the key piece in all of it. Fantasy Football

    Fantasy football is something I've done for many years. It's something that's a lot of fun, but gives a lot of people a lot of stress every Sunday in the fall. Right now I am in four different leagues and three of them are for money. It's not a ton of money at all, but it makes sure everybody in the league stays involved and active. I have friends in all of my leagues because that's really all that matters to me, just to have fun with my buddies. This is the most leagues I've ever been in so its a good amount of work to keep up in all them.      I am doing pretty well right now though. I am in second in three of my four leagues and in my other league I am still projected to make the  playoffs. That can change at any time though. Just last week in one of my leagues, I had my best player announced that he would miss the rest of the season with a foot injury so that will probably screw me for the playoffs.
