Guitar

Image
Alright guys, so I have a confession to make. I have a guitar that I got for Christmas four years ago and its just been chilling in my room ever since. Sure it looks cool in my room, but when I have people in my room they always say, "Oh you play guitar" or something along those lines. Aaand then I have to do the usual spiel of how, no I don't play it but I plan on learning it at some point. Ladies and gentlemen, that day is today! Or actually yesterday I guess, but whatever same thing. I got some motivation in a podcast I listened to about someone who kept putting off learning it but finally decided to learn to play. After I heard that I thought to myself that I just needed to do that.      So that happened yesterday and so I just  started looking up YouTube videos of easy songs to play on guitar because I wouldn't be able to stand going at just a super baby pace. I took piano when I was a kid and I've played drums since...

My Favorite Kiddos

Me with Jensen and Jordyn    Right now, I am at my cousin's house just chilling on the couch watching a movie. My cousin and her husband are at a wedding right now so they asked me to put them to bed. I love kids, especially these two. The kids names are Jensen and Jordyn. Jensen is the older one. He just started  kindergarten and and he loves sports (exactly like me). Jordyn is a couple years younger and she is already the ultimate girly girl. My time playing with her included her doing my hair and us singing Frozen songs.      I typically spend a good amount of time at their house since they are right by school. Whenever, I have free time between classes I typically stop by just to hang out and chill with the kids. They have literal never ending energy though that  doesn't make any sense to me. Like wake up at 5:30 am and don't stop till their bed time at 8. And they will wake you up with them too in my case when I stay overnight that means jump...

My Crazy Week

Image
This week has been one of the craziest weeks I've had in a long time. It started off Sunday, when I went with my brother, sister, and cousin to the White Sox game. This was the first Sox home game with fans allowed since 2008 so it was a huge deal. Me and my cousin had been talking about going to this game since the team has been good. They were down 2-0 in the series in a best of five so it would have been the last game if they lost. After a big debacle getting the tickets to load on my phone (thanks Stubhub), we got into the building. The game started out poorly despite the crowd making it the loudest  environment I've ever been in. Going into the fourth inning the Sox were down 5-1. That inning though, they scored five runs on two home runs to take the lead and ended up winning 12-6. It was an awesome experience! Me and my cousin were in complete shock at how great of a game it was. We ended up getting home past one and just talked to my dad about the game for...

Spittin' Chiclets

The Spittin' Chiclets crew        Today I could not think of what to write about so I am just going to write about my favorite podcast which I am currently listening to right now. The podcast is called Spittin' Chiclets which may be a kind of weird term for most people to be honest. It's a hockey term that basically means getting in a fight and having your teeth knocked out, therefore you are "spittin' chiclets." There are four members in the podcast with two of them being former NHL players, one being a journalist, and the other a hockey fan from Boston who works as the producer. They make quite a crew, with the two hockey players, Paul "Biznasty" Bissonette and Ryan Whitney constantly chirping each other, and the Journalist RA sometimes finding himself in the crossfire, but have the best hockey podcast going and it certainly helps that they are some of the funniest characters in podcasting. They touch on all things hockey, along with literally ever...

The Cottage

Image
My family's cottage is one of my favorite places on earth. It's located in Warsaw, Indiana on Winona Lake. It is almost a two hour drive from my house, one of the most boring drives in  existence. Seriously, once you get out of my subdivision, you hop on route 30, make precisely three turns and you are in the driveway of the cottage. Despite it being an incredibly boring drive to get to it, it is such an awesome place! A creek runs right it front of the house and you get an excellent view of the lake. It's in a pretty low-key small town, but it provides plenty of things to do in the summer.  A sunset over the lake     Some of my favorite activities to do there are going fishing, playing some pickup basketball, and getting ice cream at the shop downtown. I also love just hanging out with family there. My parents are part owners with my dad's sister and a couple of his cousins too so there a bunch of people we always go with and we're all pretty tigh...
